You won’t just study filmmaking—you’ll work through the process yourself. You’ll make decisions, solve problems, collaborate with a real crew, and experience what it actually takes to take a film from idea to finished.

THE PROCESS

PREP IT.

Meet live with Ron twice a week as you choose from 2–3 producible scripts or concepts and work through script breakdown, pre-production, scheduling, shot planning, and the decisions that shape the film before cameras ever roll.

SHOOT IT.

Bring the project to life during a real multi-day Los Angeles production. Work hands-on with professional cameras, lighting, grip, crew, and the practical details your story calls for—from props and wardrobe to blocking, performance, and what actually happens when the pressure is on.

FINISH IT.

Carry the film through post-production with guidance through editing, color, sound, and finishing—so the experience doesn’t end when the shoot wraps.

Hands-On Film Mentorship Agreement

A few simple details so everyone knows what to expect:

The program: The Hands-On Film Mentorship is an eight-week filmmaking experience that includes online preparation, a real Los Angeles production, and guided post-production.
Choosing the film: Creative HQ will provide a small selection of approximately 2–3 scripts or concepts designed to be achievable within the available budget, schedule, locations, crew, resources, and production time. The final project is selected with those realities in mind. A participant’s personal script or concept is not guaranteed to be produced.
Real productions change: That’s part of filmmaking. Shoot dates, schedules, locations, crew, participant roles, scenes, and final deliverables may shift when production needs require it. Creative HQ will make reasonable efforts to deliver the strongest experience and finished project possible.
Attendance & recordings: Scheduled Zoom sessions are generally recorded. If you’re unable to attend a Zoom session live, that session’s recording can be made available when available. A complete archive of every mentorship session is not included, but participants may request a small number of specific recordings—typically 2–3—that were especially useful to them. Recordings are provided for personal use and may not be reposted, published, or distributed without permission from Creative HQ.
Production days: On-set days involve real locations, crew, equipment, performers, and schedules, so they cannot simply be recreated. If you miss a scheduled production day, a make-up day or replacement experience is not guaranteed.
Payments: If you choose a payment plan, all scheduled payments remain due. If a payment becomes past due, access to remaining program activities may be paused until the account is brought current.
Refunds: Because your place in the mentorship and production resources are reserved specifically for the program, payments are non-refundable once the mentorship has begun, except where otherwise required by law.
Credits & outcomes: Film and IMDb credit may be provided where applicable. Specific credits, festival selections, distribution, employment, income, or career results cannot be guaranteed.
