THE HANDS-ON FILM MENTORSHIP
STOP TALKING ABOUT MAKING A FILM.
LET’S MAKE ONE.
Work directly with Ron through development, pre-production, a real Los Angeles shoot, and guided post-production to complete the film.

Choose from 2–3 scripts or concepts selected to fit the production.
PREP IT
Dig into story, casting, scheduling, budgeting, and shot planning.

WHAT YOU WALK AWAY WITH
A FILM. A CREDIT.
REAL SET EXPERIENCE.
A FINISHED FILM
Something real you helped take from prep through post—and can actually show people.
REAL SET EXPERIENCE
Work hands-on with Ron and the crew on a Los Angeles production. No simulation. No watching from the sidelines.
FOOTAGE + BEHIND THE SCENES
Production footage and BTS you can use to build your reel, portfolio, and creative presence.
IMDb CREDIT
A credited role on the production, where applicable.
MORE CONFIDENCE FOR THE NEXT ONE
Because actually making a film changes what you believe you can do next.

THE WHOLE FILMMAKING PROCESS.
ONE MOVIE.
We don’t learn this stuff in isolation. We use the film we’re making to learn what actually matters.
STORY + SCRIPT
Break down the story, characters, script, and what it takes to turn the page into something we can actually shoot.
PRODUCING + BUDGET
Scheduling, budgeting, locations, resources, and making smart choices when time and money are real.
CASTING + DIRECTING
Find the right actors, block the scene, communicate clearly, and get performances that work on camera.
SHOT DESIGN
Shot lists, storyboards, coverage, framing, composition, and deciding how the audience experiences the scene.
CAMERA + LIGHTING
Cameras, lenses, exposure, movement, lighting, grip, and making images that serve the story.
WORKING ON SET
Crew roles, sound, continuity, safety, set protocol, communication, and solving problems when the clock is running.
POST-PRODUCTION
Edit the movie, shape the cut, add color, sound and music, get feedback, and finish what you started.
WHAT COMES NEXT
Festivals, marketing, distribution, IMDb, your reel, and using the finished film to help open the next door.
MEET THE FILMMAKERS
THEY DIDN’T JUST LEARN IT.
THEY MADE IT.
Many Creative HQ students started with little or no on-set experience. Then they helped prep the film, stepped onto set, worked with the crew, and saw it all the way through to a finished movie.
Hear what the experience was like in their own words.
